Dashlane
The true strength of Dashlane’s password manager is that it is simple, straightforward and extremely logical. Not only are there additional extras like encrypted sharing of your data with other trusted people, a collection of receipts from your online purchases, or the clever Password Changer. But there is also a very secure password management solution that works across various platforms. Any passwords imported from compatible browsers are stored in Dashlane’s cloud storage alongside personal data, secure notes, credit card information and ID documents, but as an added bonus the passwords are evaluated for their individual strengths. As a nice addition, the company also alerts users should a site they are registered to become compromised. To further aid your security, Dashlane encrypts all data with its own patented encryption method, provides the two-factor authentication option available in the manager’s handy mobile app, and has a password generator within the software and online.
Dashlane is available in two versions: the free version, which can be used without major limitations for the first 30 days, and the premium version that costs $2.50-$3.33 per month depending on the length of your annual payment-based subscription. This paid version provides all syncing options, the two-factor authentication, VIP support and a 30-day money back guarantee.
Sticky Password
Sticky Password is the epitome of a simple yet user-friendly password manager that can not only handle login credentials imported from 16 different browsers, but can store passwords of desktop and mobile apps as well. Security is of the utmost priority in this software with your data encrypted twice by a military-grade encryption code, once on the device and the second time when it goes through Sticky Password’s cloud servers for syncing purposes. Additionally, you can also determine what kind of authentication a device needs and how many devices should be allowed into your Sticky Password network. As for the aforementioned syncing, the program supports data synchronization via its cloud servers or local/Wi-Fi networks, and is capable of offline syncing via flash drives, too. Sticky Password and its iOS/Android app can store personal data of any kind, create bookmarks, evaluate and generate passwords, and even prompt you with many secure note templates.
Sticky Password is available for free, but even its premium version costs no more than $2.50 per month paid on an annual basis. However, the company provides a lifetime subscription as well, with which you can use the software without limitations for as long as you wish.
Conclusion
Both of these two password managers are strong contenders if you are looking for a program to securely store your account details, and so whichever you chose you’ll likely be happy with the option.
Dashlane provides a more logical software that features password sharing, patented data encryption in the cloud and unique solutions like the Password Changer, online receipt storing and an impressive mobile app with a built-in two-factor authentication. Additionally, all versions of the software remain unlimited for 30 days or are subject to a money back guarantee.
Sticky Password, on the other hand, has various online and offline data syncing options, can integrate 16 different browsers, and provides military-grade encryption for your data regardless of whether it is stored on a device or in the cloud. To top it all, there is a choice between owning a free version that stays unlimited for the first 30 days, subscribing to the company’s service on an annual basis or purchasing the software for good.

W Schillerstrom says
I’ve been using Dashlane Premium for about a year. My year licence is up for renewal and I’m just not convinced it’s worth the new price point that’s been hiked to $60 for an annual contract. A quick google search reveals this hefty price hike coincides with the company positioning itself as an industry leader, at least, in marketing themselves. Surprisingly they are offering no discount to renew my licence, only a warning that my stored data will be lost if I let it revert to their free version. Now if the software had actually performed as promised I may be less conflicted, even with the 50% hike in price. I have found that it’s far from idiot proof, especially if you use a variety of devises and need to deal with the growing variety of log in formats that seem to be popping up across one’s online experience. More often than not, it produces a login error, especially if you have not visited the site in a while or you have, heavens forbid, change a password using a different device. This problem is compounded by fact that having failed to successfully long in to your site you are faced with the annoyance of having to repeatedly resetting your passwords which in turn adds to the software hit or miss record of success. The software uses email addresses as an default identifier. Unfortunately, if you use a variety of email addresses when setting up your login protocols it can cause major headaches. But the greatest annoyance of using this software is how login data on any given site multiplies, especially if you are being forced to change you passwords often. When you trying to find a particulate login site and the password that goes with in, one finds multiple options, with no real way to determine which is the latest password. Which forces you to go through a process of elimination. In short the software is still a work in progress. It’s great, when it works, which unfortunately is not often enough to justify paying $60 for their service. Obviously everyone has their own needs. If you are a IT savvy user, highly discipline in you methods, or simply use only its most basic features found in the free version, then you may find Dashlane works for you. For me I’m moving on.

I agree 100% with your review. I have experienced the same frustrations with Dashlane and I am not willing to pay the $60 fee for their service. I recently subscribed to Sticky Password and I am very happy so far. I use the Mac/IOS platform. Sticky is very straight forward and easy to organize and use. It doesn’t have all the “bells and whistles” that Dashlane has but it works great. I especially like that you can chose to sync using your wifi and not use the cloud. They use military encription. The price is great. I enrolled in the lifetime premium subscription so I will never pay again. Love it!
